Midway between photography and installation, La balsa moves through the artist’s real, felt, or fictionalized family experiences, delving into the question of belonging to the family space. Drawing on the photographic archives of her two grandmothers, the project investigates the nature of familial bonds and the bodily memory they leave behind.
